The Validity Support Portal is a password protected website that is only available to authorized partners and customers (B2B Support Only). We will not grant Support Portal access to Consumers. Consumers should use the device OEM's support website for all support related downloads.

• I have a notebook PC with the Validity fingerprint sensor. How do I get the device drivers?

  You can download the device drivers from your notebook manufacturer’s (OEM) website, such as:

  1. Acer
  2. ASUS
  3. DDS
  4. Dell
  5. HP
  6. General Dynamics Itronix
  7. Other:  Contact your device manufacturer by visiting their support website.
• How do I get fingerprint software for Windows XP?

  Windows Vista and 7 fingerprint software applications made specifically for your notebook PC, such as DigitalPersona Personal, do not support Windows XP. Contact your Notebook PC manufacturer for Windows XP Fingerprint software options.

  Please note that Validity does not supply fingerprint software applications directly to consumers. Fingerprint software applications on notebook PCs are provided by 3rd parties such as DigitalPersona.

• Where can I acquire the fingerprint software for my HP Notebook?

  Drivers for the Validity fingerprint sensor and fingerprint software can be downloaded from the HP Support Website at http://support.hp.com.

• Where can I acquire the fingerprint software for my Acer Notebook?

  Contact Acer Support at http://www.acerpanam.com for all information regarding the Validity fingerprint sensor drivers and software applications.

• Where can I download Windows 7 compatible software?

  To enable the same fingerprint sensor features provided under Windows XP or Vista, you will need to install the Widows 7 Validity driver and fingerprint application supplied by your notebook manufacturer. Fingerprint driver and application software are available through your notebook manufacturer's support website or the notebook's recovery disk.

  If a Windows 7 driver is not available, download and install Windows Vista or XP drivers and fingerprint application from your notebook manufacturer's support website or the notebook's recovery disk.

• I am a device manufacturer. How do I get more information about using the Validity fingerprint sensor in my product?

• Does the Validity fingerprint sensor support Linux based operating systems?

  Validity does not offer Linux drivers and software direct to consumers. We are working with our qualified software partners to develop Linux based solutions. If you are a software developer and want to become a qualified Validity solution provider for Linux-based solutions, visit http://www.validityinc.com/solution_providers.aspx.

• I am a software developer. How do I get a software development kit for Validity fingerprint sensors?

• I am a qualified solution provider (device manufacturer or software developer) and I have a Validity RDK or SDK. How do get my RDK or SDK questions answered by Validity?
